CPA Crane Hire – Customer Responsibilities

When hiring a crane under a CPA Crane Hire Agreement, the customer is responsible for planning, managing, and insuring the entire lifting operation. This includes:

  • Appointing a qualified Appointed Person to plan and oversee the lift
  • Providing method statements, risk assessments, and safe systems of work
  • Supplying competent Slinger/Signallers and ensuring correct signalling arrangements
  • Ensuring the crane and lifting equipment are suitable for the task
  • Holding insurance to cover the crane, the goods being lifted, ongoing hire charges during repairs, and public liability

We will always provide a competent crane operator and well-maintained equipment and can arrange additional insurance on your behalf if required.
